By the grace of Almighty God, the LEGACY AFRICA FILM project has moved from the preproduction to the production stage.
The first filming took place in London on Friday, May 31.
As a novice in film production, I initially thought we could complete the whole London segment in a single day of filming. However, I soon learned that even setting up the cameras, lights, microphones, and other devices for filming can take considerable time.
Despite our best efforts, the team was unable to complete the schedule on the day. This led to the need for a second day of filming.
Eventually, we settled on Saturday, June 29. The first filming was conducted in lecture halls, classrooms, and other internal settings. Though the weather was not excellent on that day, it was of little significance to us.
Not so, the second day of filming, which was conducted entirely outside. The UK weather in much of June was cool, cloudy, and rainy. In the days preceding filming day, I kept praying to Heaven for good weather on “D-Day”. I am happy to announce my prayer was answered. Indeed, the weather in London on the filming day was glorious.
Heaven showed us favour on other fronts—no unforseen circumstances, such as a team member’s ill health or equipment breakdown, set in to disrupt the schedule.
So we happily the filming went through successfully.
